Jeff Hodgson, originally from Warton near Preston, fell victim to asthma. Jeff was discovered
collapsed after enjoying a family meal. He failed to gain consciousness and died on Saturday night.
Jeff's dad Geoff Hodgson, 48, said the whole family are struggling to come to terms with the
teenager's sudden death as he was always full of energy and lived life to the full.
Geoff, his wife Sandra and sons Jeff and Aidan lived in Warton, near Preston, until 18 months ago
when they moved to Darwen, where the tragedy happened.
Geoff, an engineer, said: ""We had tea together on Saturday night and Jeff was absolutely fine. He
took some medication as he had a slight chest infection, and he went upstairs.
"About 15 minutes later, our three-year-old Aidan came running downstairs and said: 'Daddy, Jeff
can't breathe'.
"We are all totally devastated.
